Mantras.
Hard-won mantras shaped through experience: building Newicon, working with teams and pursuing personal projects.
Some are original, some are borrowed or adapted from people and companies I admire. They are not commandments. They are prompts: useful ways to challenge an assumption, unlock a conversation or find a better next step.

Don’t #!@$ the customer
Close mantra ↑Do not sacrifice the customer experience because of bogus constraints.
It is easy to lose sight of priorities. Without customers, there is no business. Be led by what serves them, not simply by what makes the company easier to manage.
In large organisations, people can become so removed from the customer that an internal process improvement makes the experience measurably worse from the outside. Do not optimise the customer out of the business.
